Topic: Truth and Logic Initiative
Proposition for the California State Ballot Name: Truth and Logic Initiative Purpose: To enable the citizens of the great state of California to demonstrate their loyalty to the truth and to promote logical behavior by passing a ballot initiative whose sole purpose is to punish the promotion of illogical behavior and loyalty to mendacity demonstrated by the religious wrong. If passed, then the Truth and Logic Initiative would do all of the following: 1. Make religious organizations that are run by leaders who routinely repeat the lie that myth is truth pay taxes to the state government just like any other entertainment industry business. 2. Make religious organizations that are run by leaders who routinely repeat the lie that myth is truth pay a special vice tax to the state government specifically intended to punish these leaders and the religious organizations they represent for their public displays of mendacity. 3. Require religious leaders who routinely repeat the lie that myth is truth to periodically make a public disclaimer to the effect that the education and leadership provided is for entertainment purposes only. (Just like telephone psychics are required to do.) Rational: The truth is a set of ideas about the existence of one totality that can be verified to be true by use of our senses and perceptions. A myth is an idea or a story about the existence of one totality that can not be verified to be true or false by use of our senses and perceptions. The truth is that myth is myth. Those who claim that myth is truth make themselves into liars. Freedom of religion should not be a license to repeat the lie that myth is truth in defense of fraud, threat making, character defamation, extortion, intolerance, violence and terrorism. Just as the government is not permitted to rule on the truth or falsity of myth propagated by religious leaders so should religious leaders not be permitted to claim that myth is truth! Lying is anti-social behavior. The state should be in the business of using the tax code and other available means to punish liars and reward honest hard working citizens.

The truth is set of ideas about the existence of one totality that can be verified to be true by use of our senses and perceptions.
A myth is an idea or a story about the existence of one totality that can not be verified to be true or false by use of our senses and perceptions.
Those who claim that myth is truth, make themselves into liars.
I believe we live in a global culture dominated by networks of such liars because of an alliance between the ruling class and the clergy that has lasted for thousands of years.
In effect the ruling class buys influence over communities of faithful believers from religious leaders.
In effect religious leaders use threats of abominable infernal punishment and promises of divine eternal reward to enslave members to the will of the ruling class.
At some point, some in the ruling class must have figured out that if communities of faithful believers are lead to behave like racist, heterofascist, warmongers motivated to out work, out fight and out number competition, then their aggressive behavior will enable them to overrun their competition and enable the ruling class to dominate the global culture.
The myths that these liars claim are truths are the product of a competition to survive that has selected for those religious traditions that lead communities of faithful believers to aggressively out work, out fight and out number competition.
Therefore all of the mythology about divine eternal rewards and abominable infernal punishments given out by a good one in Heaven who commands communities of faithful believers to work all the hours of the day, fight evil, be fruitful and multiply; prohibit sex for occupational, recreational and or homosexual purposes; and object to sexual education that could make these practices safer; can be understood by us today to be the product of this competition to survive rather than any reflection of the will of god.
Threats made against the life and or afterlife of any body who does not submit to the authority of religious leaders who repeat the lie that myth is truth in defense of their fraud, defamation of character and extortion can be understood by us today; to be the origin of most if not all of the terrorist threats made by religious extremists against secular states that self organize around freedom of thought, belief and religious expression.
The very ruling class that offers us protection from terror in exchange for gold does nothing to stop the fraud, threat making, extortion, intolerance and violence that is the root cause of much of this terror.
The lie that myth is truth leads to fraud, threat making, defamation of character, extortion, intolerance, and violence.
The ruling class favors this state of affairs because intolerance and violence insures the many always accept offers of a promise of protection from terror in exchange for gold made by a mercenary plutocratic predatory few that profit from the sale and manufacture of the products and services of a beast of a military industrial complex.
Belief in lie that myth is truth sells the products and services of a beast of a military industrial complex.
Therefore military protection rackets have traditionally supported and continue to support religious protection rackets. Mendacity is untruthfulness and the mendacity displayed by the religious wrong is the lie that myth is truth.
The consequence of loyalty to mendacity is illogical behavior.
What could be more illogical then leading communities of faithful believers to behave like racist, heterofascist, warmongers motivated to out work, out fight, and out number competition in a race to Armageddon, and to believe that Armageddon is a good thing, because that means that judgment day is nigh and the faithful will soon be elevated to a place of divine eternal bliss some call Heaven?

A billion people do not get enough food to eat every day.
About thirty thousand children ages zero to five die of starvation every day.
Regardless of what is happening in the world around us, these liars lead communities of faithful believers to channel all sexual energy into sex for procreative purposes; be fruitful and multiply; work all the hours of the day from dawn to dusk and fight evil.

The problem is global warming, deforestation, desertification, pollution, desolation of large areas of land in war, dead zones in the oceans, melting of ancient glacier, a billion people not getting enough food every day and the daily starvation of on average thirty thousand children aged zero to five.
If those who claim that myth is truth make themselves into liars, then those who claim an ability to know based on the lie that myth is truth perpetrate a fraud.
If religious leaders who claim an ability to know about the existence and the will of a good one in Heaven at war with an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth perpetrate a fraud, then their threat making against the life and or afterlife of anybody that does not submit to their authority could be interpreted as an effort to extort tithes and offerings from communities of faithful believers in exchange for a life long indoctrination in the lie that myth is truth.
If religion is based on the lie that myth is truth, then religion degrades the global culture.

If optimism correlates with happiness and health, then out of an infinite number, diversity and variety of myths made possible by the existence of discovery and the existence of mystery, the logical choice to make when orienting self towards world and explaining world to self is a belief in the one myth that enables us to have the highest esteem of the existence of one totality.
If optimism correlates with happiness and health, then imagine the harm caused by billions of people focusing the mental energies on a pessimistic myth about the existence of an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth.

How Does the Gay Community Win the So Called Culture War?

1. I believe that if the gay community wants to win the so called culture war then we need to put the religious wrong on the defensive.
2. The best way to do this is to be loyal to the truth and to point out the consequence of the loyalty to mendacity displayed by the religious wrong.
3. Mendacity is untruthfulness and the mendacity displayed by the religious wrong is the lie that myth is truth.

24. If adults were not so busy demonstrating their loyalty to mendacity and illogical behavior, then maybe adults would have more credibility with young people.
25. The religious wrong is angry about a rising status of the gay community in the global culture.
26. The rising status of the gay community is a tacit disapproval of moral leadership offered by the religious wrong.
27. Therefore the religious wrong feels threatened by a rising status of the gay community in the global culture.
28. Some in the gay community might advice against making the religious wrong even more angry.
29. Some in the gay community might advice against making the religious wrong feel even more threatened.
30. Liars don't like to be called liars.
31. If we are to win the so called culture war, then calling the religious wrong a bunch of liars is precisely what needs to be done.
32. We need to stop lying to ourselves, stop lying to one another, start telling the truth, and start behaving in logical manner in order to upgrade our global culture.
33. Lying is anti-social behavior.
34. Those who claim that myth is truth make themselves into liars.
35. At the very least, religious organizations run by leaders who repeat the lie that myth is truth should be taxed just like any other entertainment industry business.
36. Mendacity is not justified in the interests of crime prevention because mendacity is itself a crime and a source of crime.
37. As such, an additional vice tax similar to those imposed on the sale of tobacco, alcohol, and gambling should be imposed on religious leaders who repeat the lie that myth is truth.
38. They should also be required from time to time to make a disclaimer to the effect that the education and leadership provided is for entertainment purposes only.
39. Just like telephone psychics are required to do.
40. We need to demonstrate our loyalty to the truth and logical behavior by putting on the ballot of every state a proposition whose sole purpose is to punish with taxes the loyalty to mendacity and illogical behavior promoted by the religious wrong.
41. Even if these don't pass the presence of such propositions on the ballot would force the religious wrong to defend their loyalty to mendacity and illogical behavior and thereby promote loyalty to the truth and logical behavior.
42. Now members of the gay community are often accused by the religious wrong and by some atheists of behaving in an illogical manner because we have sex for the purposes of producing joy rather than expressly for the purposes of producing off-spring.
43. This accusation only makes sense if we accept the premise that the seed and the body are all there is to the self.
44. If the seed body is all there is to the self, then it follows logically that having sex for the purposes of producing joy is bio-illogical.
45. If optimism correlates with happiness and health, then the logical choice to make when orienting self towards world and explaining world to self is a belief in a most optimistic myth about the existence of an infinity, divinity, eternally, one that is in everything, everywhere, at all times, and manifests for the purposes of enjoying entertainment as an infinite seed, an infinite body, an infinite soul, and an infinite spirit.
46. If self is a synthesis seed body and soul spirit created for the purposes of enjoying the entertainment derived from the drama of life and death, the game of survival and sacrifice, the test of success and failure, the conflict between predator and prey and a wide variety of emotions, thoughts and actions made possible, then having sex for the purposes of producing joy rather than for the purposes of producing off-spring makes perfect sense as both as entertainment and a peaceful way of enabling the most fit amongst us to procreate.
47. Even if a billion people believe the lie that myth is truth that does not make myth into truth. Truth is not a popularity contest or a fashionable way of making up one's mind about the existence of one totality.

49. I believe the American people would benefit greatly from a government that demonstrates loyalty to truth and logical behavior.

The Consequences of Mendacity
Thank you for being the wonderful person that you are,
Is it about time that the government of the people, for the people and by the people put the interests of the American people above the interests of the private shareholders of the Federal Reserve System? Why does the government keep buying more of the financial products and services of a beast of a military industrial complex? Are we keeping the people safe or paying off extortionists? We are ten trillion dollars in debt. We pay about five hundred billion dollars in interest on this debt every year. That is five trillion dollars in interest payments every ten years. The proposed health care reform is slated to cost about a trillion dollars over ten years. If the American government had not burdened the people had with debt that services the interests of the private shareholders of a beast of a military industrial complex, then we could pay for health care reform that services the interests of the American people five times over.
Why are we in so much debt? People have been talking for years about how educational standards in the United States have fallen behind those of other countries. The moral bankruptcy of a ruling class that seeks to achieve and maintain authority, power, order, and control over the state by buying influence over communities of faithful believers from religious leaders who repeat the lie that myth is truth in defense of a fraudulent claim of an ability to know about the existence and will of a good one in Heaven at war with an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth coupled with these fallen educational standards have rendered a populace that displays a deficit of scientific competency and an abundance of mendacity. Maybe a populace that displays a deficit of scientific competency and an abundance of mendacity correlates with a budget deficit and an ever growing national debt. Maybe a populace that displays a deficit of scientific competency and an abundance of mendacity produces more medical emergencies, shortages of qualified medical professionals and this in turn leads to a health care crisis. A significant proportion of the American people seem to have lost their loyalty to the truth and given into the mendacity of the lie that myth is truth.

Emotional unbalance in their minds leads to sad, mad and bad behavior that is not conducive to happiness and health in their lives. When emotional responses of sorrow, fear and anger that follow from the discovery of the impending disease and death of the seed body are not balanced by joy faith and love that follows from the mystery of the divine immunity and eternal life of the soul spirit, then sad, mad and bad behavior that is not conducive to happiness and health may be the result. Maybe those who vigorously defend their faith in an aggressive ideological tradition founded upon the lie that myth is truth don't understand the ordeal we are facing together. Human beings are multiplying to the point of causing disease within the body that is our body consuming biosphere. Global warming, deforestation, desertification, pollution, desolation of large areas of land in war; dead zones in our oceans; and the melting of ancient glaciers are all evidence of this disease as is the daily starvation of on average thirty thousand children ages zero to five. Our historical use of violence to resolve our differences over ownership of increasingly scarce resources; and the use of violence to resolve differences over matters of faith; could cause the death of the body that is our body consuming biosphere. I believe the much talked about clash of cultures between Islam and Christianity reflects an on going illogical conflict to determine whose holy book best expresses the will of God as well as a fight between motivated communities of faithful believers over increasingly scarce natural resources. I believe the much talked about race in racism is a race towards Armageddon run by communities of faithful believers motivated to out work, out fight, and out number competition by religious leaders who repeat the lie that myth is truth in defense of a fraudulent claim of an ability to know about the will of a good one in Heaven at war with an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth. Even if a billion people believe the lie that myth is truth that does not make myth into truth. Truth is not a popularity contest or a fashionable way of making up one's mind about the existence of one totality. Truth is a set of ideas about the existence of one totality that can be verified to be true by use of our senses and perceptions. I believe the American people would benefit greatly from a government that demonstrates greater respect for truth and logic.
How do we pay down the national debt? Most people don't like to pay higher taxes. If the government were to shift some of the tax burden away from honest hard working citizens towards religious organizations run by leaders who routinely repeat the lie that myth is truth in defense of a fraudulent claim of an ability to know about the will of a good one in Heaven at war with an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth, then the government would not have to raise taxes as much on honest hard working citizens. The extra added benefit would be that the financial incentive for mendacious behavior would be gone. Maybe if people did not spend so much time studying the lie that myth is truth, then people would better understand the truth that myth is myth. An infinite number diversity and variety of myths about the existence of one totality are made possible by the existence of discovery and the existence of mystery. Maybe if people did not follow the illogic of producing emotional unbalance in their minds that is not conducive to happiness and health in their lives by choosing to believe in a pessimistic myth about the existence of an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth, then they join me in following the logic of producing emotional balance in our minds that is conducive to happiness and health in our lives by choosing to believe in the one myth that enables us to have the highest esteem of the existence of one totality. That is to believe in the one myth that enables us to have the highest esteem of the existence of one totality because optimism correlates with happiness and health and not to believe in a pessimistic myth about the existence of an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth because of the lie that myth is truth.
If optimism correlates with happiness and health, then out of an infinite number, diversity and variety of myths about the existence of one totality made possible by the existence of discovery and the existence of mystery the logical choice to make when orienting self towards world and explaining world to self is a belief in the one myth that enables us to have the highest esteem of the existence of one totality. That is: The logical choice to make when orienting self towards world and explaining world to self is a belief in the existence of an infinity, divinity, eternally, one that manifests for the purposes of enjoying entertainment as an infinite seed, infinite body, infinite soul, and infinite spirit. If the many of our global culture were to accept the truth that myth is myth and start following the logic of producing emotional balance in our minds that is conducive to happiness and health in our lives by choosing to believe in the one myth that enables us to have the highest esteem of the existence of one totality, then can you imagine the improvement there would be in our health and happiness?
I believe the truth that myth is myth will prevail over the lie that myth is truth. Logic will prevail over illogic. Everybody who has ever gained notoriety for the lives they led, the deeds they did and accomplishments they achieved will be looked upon by future generations through the lens of the truth that myth is myth. Will you be remembered as a champion of the truth or will you be remembered as just another anti-social liar? To some extent, the choice is yours.
